Discounts

Multiple Student Tuition Discount: Families with two or more children will receive a tuition discount for each child as follows: Student in the highest grade level is considered as the first child.
• 2nd child – 5%
• 3rd child – 10%
• 4th child and up – 15%
**Fees are not included. Fees are additional. Only one discount per family will apply.

Military Discount: Active duty military families will receive a 7% discount on the yearly tuition.

Early Payment Discount: Families paying tuition in full at the time of submitting a contract will receive a discount of 3% on tuition, regardless of any other discounts applied.

Merit Scholarships

MERIT SCHOLARSHIP: One student will be awarded 50% off the yearly tuition based on Christian character, academic performance, and teachers’ evaluations. This scholarship will be effective on October 1, 2017. Scholarship application will be due no later than September 1, 2017.

About the Eighth Grade Program

Parents will need to complete all sections of the Admission Application and submit the application fee. Our Admissions Staff will call to schedule a school tour. We have very small class sizes so your child will have the attention he or she needs to excel.

Eighth Grade Curriculum

Bible: Bob Jones Press | Provide a foundation for learning what the Bible teaches about the consequences of attitudes and actions. Personal application is emphasized to help your students understand the rewards and challenges of the Christian life.

Literature: Veritas Press | Students are introduced to a biblical perspective theme books. Student are taught to interpret, analyze, and evaluate authors, works, themes, and terms in light of Scripture.

Math-Algebra 1 Part 1:
Saxon, Veritas Press | Presents algebra topics in a logical order with detailed examples promoting student comprehension. Numeric and algebraic expressions are simplified before solving linear equations. Inequalities are also explored.

Math-Algebra 1: Saxon, Veritas Press | Numeric and algebraic expressions are simplified Before solving and graphing linear equations, Inequalities, and their systems. Polynomials, Rational expressions, radicals, and solving rational Features focus on probability, statistics, historical figures and scriptural connections.

History-American Republic: Bob Jones Press | This work provides your student with a survey of the history and heritage of the United States from a Christian worldview.

Physical Science: Veritas Press | Recommended to follow the general science course, this course discusses the atmosphere, hydrosphere, weather, structure of the earth, environmentalism, physics of motion, Newton`s Laws, gravity and astrophysics. Myths generated by the hysterical environmentalist movement are addressed. Many hands-on experiments – all use common household chemicals and supplies.

English 8-Latin 2: Veritas Press | Continue the study of Latin word parts and present new words in word families that share a prefix, root, or suffix. Latin vocabulary explored.

English-Writing/Grammar: Bob Jones Press | Review the eight parts of speech, five basic sentence patterns, usage, and mechanics. Introduce adjective clauses, participles, gerunds, and infinitives. Dictionary skills, library skills, study skills, and the writing process are also part of the year’s work. Writing projects include a news report, a character profile, a short fable, an informal debate script, a photo essay, and an in-class essay. Literature from the classics.

Tuition & Fees:

Tuition: $6,580 per year
Book Fees: $385
These fees must be paid by July 1st, 2017, before the first tuition payment and is non-refundable. Children cannot start school before book fees are paid.
Technology Fee: $100 Due by 9/1/2017
Athletic Fee: $50 Per Athlete/Per Sport
Application Fee: $50 Does not apply to re-enrollment
Enrollment Fee: $180 Due with application
Late Fee: $45 Will be assessed if there is an outstanding balance on the third of the month.
Returned Check Fee: $45 for each returned check

1 Plastic supply box (large enough to hold a 12” ruler, but not oversized)
1 Box of 24 count crayons (no glitter; must fit into the supply box)
1 Pack of colored pencils (Crayola Twistables highly recommended)
1 12” ruler with both inches and centimeters
1 compass (6th grade & up)
1 protractor (6th grade & up)
1 Pair of pointed scissors
2 Glue sticks (no glue pens)
2 Boxes 24 count #2 pencils (1 each semester)
4 Black or blue ink pens
1 Package of pencil top erasers
6 Two pocket folders (heavy duty plastic recommended)
4 Packages of wide ruled, 8”x10 ½, loose leaf filler paper each semester
